The Anti-Mormon Information Clearinghouse Online (AMICO)

Note: This website uses "Mormon" and "Mormon Church" for the sake of brevity and because we do not believe Russell M. Nelson is a Prophet nor does he speak for God.

Dear Seeker of Truth,

Welcome to "Anti-Mormon Central": one stop-shopping for those seeking Anti-Mormon information (information critical of Mormonism). We are not "Anti-Mormon" in that we want Mormons to know the truth about their religion. We don't wish them ill-will. We want them to know the FACTS: even fact which contradict what their leaders tell them. We are very Anti-MormonISM. We believe that Mormonism is a false religion. We have many FACTS that back up that belief of ours. We want everyone (Mormon and Gentile) to know the TRUTH. AMICO does not provide anti-Mormon information itself. We simply tell you "where" you can find Anti-Mormon information. We do NOT promote anti-Mormon information that we feel is flawed (such as "The God Makers" films and books). We only present Anti-Mormon information we know is accurate, sincere, and reliable.

Are you currently in a Faith Crisis (confused due to anti-Mormon information)? At the bottom of this page we have some advice for you can navigate your Faith Crisis and come out the other side happy and normal again.

What if Mormonism is not true?

*Does that mean there is no God? No. He exists.
*Does that mean Jesus does not exist? No. He is real.
*Does that mean there is no Afterlife? No. That exists.
*Does that mean there is no purpose in life? No. There is a purpose.
*Does that means there are no true Prophets? No. There are true Prophets.
*Does that mean the Bible is not true as well? No. The Bible is true.
*Does that mean my life has no meaning? No. Life Your life has meaning and purpose.
*Does that means there is no eternal family? No. Many religions teach eternal families.

What does it mean if Mormonism is not true? All it means is that Joseph Smith was not a true Prophet and The Book of Mormon is not history. That's all.

Skeletons in the Mormon Closet

Phillip P. Vandermandie is a former Mormon who wrote this book as a good "start" to discovering if the Church is what it claims to be or not. The book can be ordered from Barnes&Noble.com online or most bookstores (NOT Mormon bookstores).

To order the book go to BarnesandNoble.com online and type in quotes: "Skeletons in the Mormon Closet"

Mormon Stories with John Dehlin

Mormon Stories is by far the most popular Anti-Mormon podcast which has been around since 2005 on YouTube. John is a former Mormon missionary who lost his faith after finding anti-Mormon information on the Internet (Google). He tried to stay in the Church for many years as a "nuanced Mormon" (i.e. PIMO: physically in mentally out) but he was eventually excommunicated from the Church in 2013 for apostasy. His podcast takes the form of interviewing Ex-Mormons and Doubting Mormons (and sometimes faithful Mormons). Many of these interviews are multiple hours and are divided into two or more segments. Dehlin likes go to "deep dive" on his podcasts.

Nemothemormon

Nemothemormon is a Ex-Mormon podcaster located in Oxford, England. His videos are usually short (3 minutes) which he covers verious topics such as Church growth (or the lack of it), how the Church covers-up and hushes up cases of child molestation, etc. There are almost 2,000 podcasts over the last 20 years. Sometimes he hosts discussion panels with other ex-Mormons and PIMOs.

Go to YouTube.com and type in "Nemothemormon" to watch his videos.

Mormon Discussions Inc

Former Mormon bishop Bill Reel from St George Utah and former Mormon Apologist (defender of the Faith) "Radio Free Mormon" (he does not wish to use his real name since he is a lawyer and many of his clients are Mormon) from Washington State, team up to talk all things Mormonism from a critical Ex-Mormon view. They produce various types of podcasts which include call-ins, interviews, and "deep dives" on many subjects such as the Adam-God doctrine, blood atonement, the Church covering-up the sexual sins of bishops and prominent members, Mountain Meadows Massacre, Church Growth (i.e. the lack of it), etc.

You can watch their very entertaining podcasts by going to YouTube and typing in: "Mormon Discussions"

Radio Free Mormons ("RfM") has also his own "RfM only" podcasts which he called "Radio Free Mormon" which also deals with many "problems" in Mormon history. You can find his podcasts by going to YouTube and typing in: "Radio Free Mormon"

Jeremy Rennells and the CES Letter

Jeremy Runnels was a Mormon missionary to the deaf in New York City. He is deaf himself and uses a combination of hearing aids and lip-reading. When he came home he discovered his brother was in a "Faith Crisis" (was confused by anti-Mormon information) and decided to try to help him by finding answers to Anti-Mormon questions. Big mistake. Jeremy wrote to a Institute of Religion instructor, the only men trained in Mormon doctrine and history, for answers. The instructor promised to "get back to him soon" wit the answers. The instructor never "got back" and didn't return Jeremy's emails after that. Jeremy eventually lost faith in Mormonism and wrote "Letter to a CES Teacher" which outlined the major "problems" in Mormon doctrine and history, in The Book of Mormon and The Book of Abraham. After the Letter was published his Stake President decided to excommunicate Jeremy, but at the Church Court Jeremy resigned and they accepted it. The book "CES LETTER" is the best "one stop" if you want to know all the major reasons why Mormonism is a man-made religion. Jeremy sells it online and also offers a free html version to read online. The book also comes in Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Finnish, and a few other languages.

You can order a copy of CES LETTER or read the free version online by going to: cesletter.org

Mormonish

Mormonish is an Ex-Mormon podcast along the same lines as the other podcasts. The hosts are Rebecca and Landon: two former active Mormons, who are no longer believers. They do interviews and have discussions panels. They have done a lot about the Church's temple building program and how the Church threatens to sue and sues any community that opposes a temple being built in that community (ie. the Church as legal bully).

You watch Mormonish go to YouTube and type in: "Mormonish"

Brother Jake's Hilarious YouTube videos

Is there a "way" to tell the truth about Mormonism in a hilarious way? Brother Jake found that "way". His videos are absolutely gut-slitting foot-stomping HILARIOUS. Are you ready to laugh loud at Mormonism?

Go to YouTube and type in: "Brother Jakes"

Zelph on the Shelf

The fomer Mormon missionary to Brazil Tyler Gillian and the British Mormon convert Samantha Shelley take an often fun and light "jab" at all things Mormon in their series of videos. They are light and fun.

Darrick's Anti-Mormon Videos

Darrick Evenson was a Mormon convert at 18 and later served a mission. After his mission he wrote a pro-Mormon book (defense of the faith) titled "The Gainsayers" which sold in Mormon bookstores for 10 years. Darrick was planning to collect all anti-Mormon claims and write a very thick book refuting them all called "Answers to Anti-Mormon Questions". He worked on that book for 10 years. However, his research led him the other way. He finally had to conclude that Joseph Smith was a con-man and The Book of Mormon a 19th century creation. He later resigned from the Church. He did produce a few anti-Mormon videos which are included here on request of Darrick because he no longer maintains a website:

Darrick is just one of many Mormon Apologists who, due to their research, left the Church. Others include "Radio Free Mormon" (name withheld upon request), Kerry Shirts, Thomas Ferguson, and many others.

How to resign from the Church

If you are HAPPY in the Church, and don't care about problems in Mormon history or The Book of Mormon, then we suggest you stay in the Church and lead a happy life. But if you are UNhappy in the Church, or you must have the truth no matter what (i.e. Seeker of Truth) then we suggest you read "Skeletons in the Mormon Closet" and if you need more information then read "CES LETTER". If all that information does not convince you that Mormonism is man-made then nothing will.

If you are already Ex-Mormon or PIMO (Physically In/Mentally Out) then enjoy the various Podcasts by former Mormons.

If you leave the Church were do you go?
